Re-design is woven into the origins of editHOME furnishings.
Re-examining classics in newer more modern ways while not forsaking the original style is our name sake.
Each home or object whether salvaged or existing is taken into consideration because it is unique and even more so, once edited.
In that sense editHOME is about rescue.
It’s also about recognizing bygone virtues and following traditions of previous generations, such as frugality.
It is about creating beautiful atmospheric change in our homes without always acquiring more. It is about balancing the new with the old.

The soul of my design style is deeply rooted in my Scandinavian DNA. When I embarked on my design hike many moons ago, I didn’t put a name to it or truly embrace the meaning until several years into my journey.
The Danes say hygge, (“houses a universe of meaning”). The Swede’s say mys.
The literal meanings may vary but the distilled expression is similar; “Feeling abundance and contentment in the places where we find sanctuary; furnished with things that mean most to us.”
