Re-design is woven into the origins of editHOME furnishings.
Re-examining classics in newer more modern ways while not forsaking the original style is our name sake.
Each home or object whether salvaged or existing is taken into consideration because it is unique and even more so, once edited. In that sense editHOME is about rescue and frugality.
It’s about recognizing bygone virtues and following traditions of previous generations.
The generation, hum hum, that doesn’t through it away!
It is about reparation. It is about sometimes buying new, not always buying new; it is about creating atmospheric change in our life rather than acquiring more.
The soul of my design style is deeply rooted in my Scandinavian DNA and when I embarked on my design hike many moons ago, I didn’t even know there was a name for it.
The Danes say hygge, (adopted in the U.S., struggling to remain true to its heritage). The Finns. say kalsarikanni and the Swede’s say mys.
The literal meanings vary but the distilled expressed meaning is similar; happiness at home…unattached from price tag. Leave your shoes at the door.
Ah, feels like home.

edit HOME re-examines kitchen cabinets, seating, cased goods, lighting and tables, bringing a modern sensibility to each home and piece.
Typically, we undertake pre-sale home renovations on kitchens and bathrooms, but there is no end to our creativity! edit HOME sees hidden potential in every room and every room plays an important role in making a house your home.
HOME STAGING
In Sweden, professional home staging, known as homestyling, became popular after 2000. Professional home stagers claim homestyling yields around 10% higher pricing compared to just cleaning the home.
The New York Times described the seller's situation as "...not always happily, in the company of unfamiliar sofas... tables..." while some of what they own is placed in temporary storage.
However, U.S. research states that home staging can reduce a listing's time on the market by one third to half, and could fetch as much as 6% to 20% more than an empty home or a home not properly staged.
